WHAT IS A FREIGHT BROKER?

Freight Brokers are responsible for the transport of goods from one place to another. A Freight Broker's job is very important to the logistics of transportation. FREIGHT BROKER -VS- FREIGHT AGENT

A Freight Broker Agent, or Freight Agent, works under a Freight Broker, by signing on under a contract.  The contract with a freight brokerage will allow a Freight Agent to broker freight using the brokerage name and license requirements.  Freight Agents are usually self-employed independent contractors working in commission only positions.  Freight agents commission is usually depended upon a certain percentage discussed by the brokerage and agent. A Freight Agent is attractive for those who wish to have little to no over head, but, want to work in the Freight Broker industry.
